Terracartis (“we,” “us”) sells custom map art prints. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you place an order or preorder, we collect your name, email address, and shipping address. When you design a print, we store the details of that design: the location you chose, the zoom and orientation, and the style, filter, size, and material options you selected.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe sends us only what we need to fulfill your order: a confirmation, the last four digits, and the card brand. Stripe’s privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.
Automatically collected information. Like most websites, we log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
How we use it
We use your information to process and fulfill orders, send order confirmations and shipping updates, respond to your questions, and improve the site. If you opt in, we’ll also email you about launches and new features. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers who help us operate:
Stripe: payment processing
Supabase: order and design data storage
Printful: print production and shipping (receives your name, shipping address, and print file)
Mapbox: map rendering; your location searches are processed by Mapbox to display maps
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your session working and to remember your in-progress design. You can block cookies in your browser, though it may cause some features to be disabled.
Data retention
We keep order records as long as needed for warranty, tax, and accounting purposes. Saved designs are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop sending you marketing email. If you’re in the EU/UK or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what we collect and the right to deletion. To make a request, email us at the address below. We don’t discriminate against anyone who exercises these rights.
Children
Terracartis is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Security
We use HTTPS and rely on established providers (Stripe, Supabase) for payment and data storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
